SPEECH PATHOLOGY

Why Choose Our Speech Pathology Services?

Our paediatric speech pathologists specialise in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of children with communication and language difficulties. We understand that these challenges may present in various ways, from isolated concerns to broader developmental delays. As a multidisciplinary clinic, we excel in providing holistic intervention, offering family centred care, and fostering collaboration.

At our clinic, we are committed to evidence-based practices, emphasising early intervention, a neuro-affirmative approach, and play-based interventions. Our space is thoughtfully designed to create a casual and enjoyable environment, allowing clients to relax and make the most of their sessions.

Our speech pathologists are skilled in supporting children in the following areas:

  • language (including developmental language disorder and language delay),

  • early language and communication skills,

  • early intervention support,

  • social communication,

  • speech sound disorders (SSD) and phonological awareness,

  • stuttering/fluency,

  • augmentative and alternative communication (AAC),

  • literacy – reading, writing and spelling,

  • self-advocacy,

  • and play skills.

During the initial appointment, our clinicians conduct a comprehensive assessment of communication and language skills. Drawing on information from family members, referral notes, and a case history form, we develop a customised therapy plan, indicating the need for further services, including frequency and expected duration. Additionally, our speech pathologists may liaise with the client's other healthcare providers or educators to ensure a consistent and informed approach to therapy.

We encourage parents or carers to attend sessions with their children whenever possible to understand current goals and engage in activities that promote improvement. Regular updates, including session notes, assessment results, and reports, will be provided to parents, fostering transparency and collaboration. Home practice is an integral part of our therapy program, allowing clients to generalise skills across various settings. We are dedicated to supporting your child's communication and language development every step of the way.
